drawing closer to god

I'm just like you.  I've been there and back along life's journey.  I know what it is like to be on top of it all and also to feel like all of it is on top of me.  I'm a normal every day person doing my very best to do what Jesus said and that is to love each other.  I admit that I don't know it all.  This I promise, whatever I do know I will share with everyone who asks.  Together we can help each other worship God in ways only He can imagine.

I love learning and experiencing how other followers of Christ are expressing themselves to God.  I've led worship times which would be considered "non-traditional" by most standards.  I have friends that are to me "out-there" more than I am.  I love them so much for theirs hearts and desires to please God.  I admire them for abandoning every former notion of what worship is and how it should look.  Instead, we turn to God for inspiration.  We want to praise Him above everything else.  We sometimes think of ourselves as little King David's pursuing our Love (God.)

Take a moment and read Romans 12:1-2 " Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God— this is your spiritual act of worship . Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. "  Notice nowhere in these two sentences did God equate music with worship.

Music can be a part of how we express ourselves to God.  As a matter of fact, God expects it.  That is exactly what I what to share with others.  How to unlock worship.  How to build up the people within your ministry to flourish in authenticate spiritual worship which is holy and pleasing to God.
