Valor Ministries is now booking bands for the Christian music at City Park. Bands are wanted for Wednesday evenings starting June 4 through the Summer. There will be 13 days of gospel, rock, quartets, and solo artists for everyone to find something they enjoy.

Looking back over 2013 proves to me we’re on track with God’s purpose for us as a band. There were some amazing opportunities for us to share the Good News outside the traditional walls of the Faith.
One such opportunity was to play at the local shopping mall. We setup in the food court area and were allowed to play Christian music for two hours! We met some wonderful people there. Not only did we make new friends, we shared the most important message of our lives with people walking by the stage. God confirmed to us His purpose through a young lady from upstate New York who was passing by on the Interstate and decided she was hungry and would go to the food court at the mall. Now people there are at least 15 places to eat before you come to the mall!
She told us she was visiting Liberty University in Virginia and was driving home. When she entered the mall, she told her mother she could hear Christian music. Her mother said that was highly unlikely. As she made her way to the food court the music became clearer and her heart jumped! She said she knew God wanted her to go to Liberty University because in the most unlikely of places God was waiting for her! The song we were singing at the time spoke confirmed to her God’s plan for her.
Now the God thing was as a band we prayed before the event that God would reveal to us that we heard Him correctly and were obedient to His desire for us. We asked specifically that someone would come forward with confirmation. He meet our hearts desire through this young lady and so many others. What a privilege it is to be a part of UpFront!
2014 is shaping up to be another year of bringing hope to a hurting world. We’ve made some changes to improve our presentation of that message and have invested our time and resources to that end. Our single desire as a band is to bring Glory to God and to share the Hope we have in Christ Jesus.

Redemption’s Promise and UpFront join together for a night of worship at Heart’s Cry On Sunday evening, November 11, 2012, an estimated 500 people will gather from all across the tri-state area to draw closer to God through songs of praise and worship. Many of them may be facing difficulties in their personal lives such as relationship or financial problems. Others may struggle with substance abuse or overwhelming medical issues. The event’s primary focus is to minister to those who come so that they can experience the presence of God in a new way and literally experience freedom from depression, despair, pain and grief.
Event organizer, Steven Wriston, hopes the evening will provide an atmosphere where people can pour their hearts out to a loving and merciful God who hears our cries for help. It’s also his desire for people to be rejuvenated in spirit and begin re-discovering their purpose in life.
Doors open at 6:30, with live music scheduled from 7-9pm. The event will be held at the Otterbein Ministry Center Gym, 915 S. Potomac Street, Waynesboro, PA.
Admission, snacks, and beverages are FREE and open to all. The facility is handicapped-accessible, with plenty of parking available. Both bands perform a mix of contemporary praise and worship from today’s top Christian artists as well as original music.
